Sixth-grade Packing List for Kent Overnight Adventure

CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS

____Bag lunch with beverages for day one

____Day pack or book-bag

____Two filled one-quart canteens or water bottles

____Cup, bowl, plate, spoon & fork

____ Socks (at least two pairs non-cotton)

____Underwear

____T-shirts (at least two)

____Shorts

____Swimsuit (optional, based on trip and weather)

____ Long pants - NOT COTTON SWEAT PANTS OR JEANS -get too heavy in the rain

____ Long sleeved shirt

____ Long underwear tops & bottoms (optional, based on trip and weather)

____ At least one fleece or warm top

____Gloves/hat (optional, based on trip and weather)

____ One pair of sneakers/ light hiking boots

____ Old sneakers that can get wet (No Crocs or flip-flops) 

____Hat with visor

____ Windbreaker jacket - liner to keep warm

____ Rain gear (tops & bottoms preferred) YES!!!

____ Sleeping bag with stuff sack

____ Small pillow - optional

____ Sleeping pad

____ Flashlight/Headlamp

____ Face cloth (not a full-sized towel needed)

____Toiletries (deodorant, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, Chapstick, sunscreen, bug repellent)

____ Three Large Ziplock or plastic garbage bags for wet clothes and shoes

____ Camera (optional)

____ Cards, travel-size board game, tennis ball, etc. for free time play (optional)

Participants should arrive with the following:

• A daypack with lunch, full water bottle, rain gear, warm shirt, bug repellent
and sunscreen.

• A large backpack or duffel bag packed with all other belongings (sleeping bag included).  Waterproof your belongings by using a plastic garbage bag inside the duffel.

*Please do not bring lighters/mathches, knives or electronics.
